Students and teachers at Seneca Middle School are celebrating Black History Month with a chronological timeline in the hallways.

According to Principal Gemma Salvia, teachers had an opportunity to decorate their door with a specific year and accomplishment of someone to celebrate the month.

“The celebration of Black History Month  began in 1926 and each door has a different year on it beginning with 1926 and goes to the present time,” she said. “This way when students walk down the hall, they see a chronological timeline.”
