The final rankings for the girls indoor track winter season were released recently and both the Sachem East and Sachem North programs are ranked high in the county and on Long Island. The ranks are voted on by the Long Island Track Coaches Association.
Sachem East is ranked third in Suffolk and seventh on Long Island, while Sachem North is ranked sixth in Suffolk and 10th on Long Island.
The list was generated using a combination of criteria including league meet performances, county meet performances, number of state qualifiers, number of All-County athletes, and performance at the Long Island Elite meet.
