I’ve taken my passion for Sachem to another level. I know, you’re saying what else is new?

I haven’t mentioned on this platform that my fiance Theresa and I recently got a new puppy, a Morkie (Maltese and Yorkshire Terrier mix). Why does it matter? Because we named him “Arrow”, of course. (Wait until we have kids; Fusaro sounds good, no?)

The original description of his coat said, “black & gold.” Enough said. It was a match made in Sachem heaven.

A month later – he’s four months old on March 1 – he’s fully bought into Sachem’s culture. Thanks to my fiance’s web patience and ability to find a dog jacket with custom lettering on Etsy, and thanks to the Sachem Athletic Office – who provided the logo patch – we managed to create Arrow’s very own letterman jacket.

Arrow, whose first bark uttered “Beat Floyd,” is not the first dog with Sachem connections I’ve written about. If you recall, Sachem North assistant football coach Alex Grimm and his girlfriend Taylor Spindel, a cheer coach at Sachem East, both Sachem alums, have a beautiful husky named Jasmine, who has her own Sachem cheerleading uniform.

Yes, you can count on seeing the furry Sachem fanatics at a Sachem stadium near you this fall. Just wait until the custom Sachem football jersey comes …
