Taylor Belmonte started singing when she was really young and it was exhilarating the first time she sang on stage as a third grader at Merrimac Elementary. Now as a freshman at Sachem High School East, she has focused her efforts on a bigger stage.

Belmonte, who is known as Taylor Belle on the local entertainment scene, has guest performed at many talent shows and fairs. From the Holbrook Fair and Farmingville Street Fair to a doo-wop show in Pennsylvania and more recently a Sandy benefit concert at Lindenhurst High School, she had been picking up gigs and spreading her vocal abilities as much as a freshman student can.

“My long term goal is to be famous,” she said. “Hopefully a household name.”

She has also auditioned for the MSG Varsity Talent Competition and was accepted to the America’s Got Talent live auditions, but has not participated in those yet.

Aside from Ariana Grande, Alicia Keys and Whitney Houston, who inspire her with music, she credits her Grandparents as her main inspirations.

“Every since I was young [her grandma] told me to always believe, and to never give up on my dreams,” she said. “She is such an amazing, hard working woman and has taught me that if I try my best at everything I put my mind to, I will succeed.”

Belmonte has a strong social media presence with pages on YouTube, Facebook and Twitter, helping to market her brand in an ever-growing technology sound entertainment world.

“The social media network is one of my most important tools,” she said. “It gives me a way to connect with my fans on another level, and spread my name across the globe. It is extremely important to me to stay connected to my friends and fans that way. You can never tell the future, but hopefully it will help me catch a break.”
