If you were walking around Sachem North on Wednesday and thought you saw two versions of Coach Falco, Coach Mauro and Coach Grimm you weren’t seeing things.
To honor the spirit week theme of “Celebrity Day”, three student-athletes paid tribute to their coaches.
Junior Michael Slattery dressed as Sachem assistant football coach Alex Grimm, junior Anthony Ross dressed up as Sachem head football coach Dave Falco and junior Michael Calvagna appeared as Sachem head lacrosse coach Jay Mauro.
“I had no idea I was so famous!” Grimm wrote on Facebook, “but this is why I love my job.”
Slatts nailed Grimm’s game day look, complete with a headset, sunglasses, khaki pants, an official Sachem Football polo shirt and a play calling card attached to his belt.
