It’s not what you think. This didn’t just become an entertainment blog.

Kirk Douglas is a Sachem alum from the Class of 1989, and the lead guitar player for “The Roots,” who play on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.” Earlier this month, Prince was a guest artist and used Douglas’ vintage 1961 Epiphone Crestwood guitar while performing “Bambi.” He threw it up in the air at the end of his performance. It broke and social media channels lit up.

Not long after, Douglas tweeted, “For the record, Prince did apologize. His people reached out and made arrangements to take care of damages. Guitar’s in the shop.”

Prince, however, did refuse to sign the wrecked guitar.
