Chippewa Elementary School hosted a blood drive run by the New York Blood Center last week, collecting 58 pints of blood.
Each parent who donated got a free homework pass for their child.
“We were very proud to assist our community by holding a blood drive,” said Angela Hart, Chippewa’s PTA President. “Many parents brought their children with them to show just how easy it is to save someone’s life by donating blood. It was wonderful to see so many people come out and support this effort.”
