Gatelot Avenue Elementary School had some little sea creatures visit Monday night and decorate every teachers’ door, the office and the hallways.
This unbelievable endeavor is the work of Gatelot’s PTA to honor the teachers and staff during Teacher Appreciation Week.
“The class parents research the teacher’s interests and then take off running by decorating each door,” said Gatelot Principal Denise Kleinman. “They were at Gatelot late into the night to be sure the teachers walk into a whole new world in the morning.”
This year’s theme is “Under the Sea.”
“This is just an illustration of the strong home-school connection that exists at Gatelot,” Kleinman said. “Such a wonderful day for staff students and parents.”
