Superintendent Nolan: Thank you, Sachem!

VoteThe following is a message from Sachem Superintendent James Nolan:

“I’m sure that you realize that I am calling to remind everyone of Tuesday’s budget vote. More importantly, I am calling to say thank you!  The past five months have been truly challenging for everyone, and this time has required tremendous patience, understanding, responsibility and genuine concern.

So many members of our Sachem Family, from every corner of our district, have given tirelessly and selflessly of their time and talents during this year’s budget process. Parents, employees, civic associations, chambers of commerce, our local volunteer fire fighters, senior citizens, elected officials and so many residents have taken an active role in becoming familiar with the budget and gaining a greater understanding of the facts.

Sachem is certainly a fantastic school district because of the many programs, courses and opportunities that we offer as well as the level of excellence we are known for, but most importantly, Sachem is truly special because of the tremendous students, families, employees and residents who make up our Sachem Family.  I have been blessed to be a member of the Sachem Family for 30 years, and I would be proud and eager to compare Sachem to any other district near or far.

Thank you for your continued help, support and involvement.  Please make it a priority to vote Tuesday.  If you are able to bring your child with you, it would be an incredible learning experience for our young people to witness and experience the importance of exercising your right to vote.  It is a privilege that we often take for granted.

Thank you again for your time and involvement. You are the reason that Sachem continues to be an outstanding place to learn, live and work. Have a great evening and please remember to vote. Thank you.” — Sachem Superintendent, James Nolan
