O’Hara among 12 incoming freshmen on Air Force wrestling

Air Force wrestling announced its incoming Class of 2017, which includes Sachem East alum Conor O’Hara, who is currently in Basic Cadet Training in Colorado Springs.

The Falcons have 12 incoming freshman, which include four from the Academy Prep School, six high school state champions, four NHSCA All-Americans and three USA Wrestling All-Americans, according to a release from the Academy.

O’Hara, who graduated from Sachem East this past June, was a two-time state qualifier and will wrestle at 141 pounds. In addition to being the career wins leader, he is Sachem East’s only three-time All-County wrestler, two-time State Qualifier, and five-time All-League wrestler.

  • As a Captain Conor led the team 2013 Section XI Championship, 2013 League Dual and Tournament Championship, 2012 League Dual and Championship, and a 37-1 dual meet record of the last two seasons.
