Sachem East alum Mike Westerhaus, a senior quarterback at Bryant University in Rhode Island, was named a USA College Football Division I-AA (FCS) Preseason All-American.
After finishing with 2,384 passing yards last season – the first QB in Bryant to reach 2,000 in a single season – he is the top returning signal caller in the Northeast Conference.
He also led all QBs in the conference with 19 touchdown passes last season.
Bryant was picked to finish third in the conference.
