It’s the most anticipated game to start the season in many years. Not since 2005 when Sachem East and North started the season against each other has an opening game had so much talk, so much hype and so much tension. Rivalry games will do that.
Sachem East and Sachem North will kick off at 6 p.m. on Wednesday evening. The game will be played at Sachem East.
Inside the rivalry: These schools began playing each other on the gridiron during the fall of 2005. Their first meeting was a 40-6 win for Sachem East. Sachem North, however, leads the series, 4-1, and has outscored East, 133-67, all-time.

Game notes
- Arrive early, at least an hour before game time. There is plenty of parking, but the crowds should be packed and you don’t want to find yourself parking on the other side of the school if you don’t have to.
- Wear BLACK if you’re sitting on the East side, or WHITE if you’re sitting on North’s side.
