Sachem East cross country a strong showing at the Suffolk Coaches Invitational meet held at Sunken Meadow State Park on Saturday September 28, 2013.
Following up to their win last week at Bear Mountain the sophomore boys took second place this weekend, only 4 points behind the winner. Edmund Carroll placed fourth in the race with a time of 18:24.33, at his heels was Nick Pandolfo in the 6th place spot 18:28.71, closely followed by Max Osterberg (8) with a time of 18:34.61. Rounding up the top 7 were also Vincent Cavalino (17), Nick Caruana (21), Noah Cone and Bryan Guan.
Not to be outdone, the boys varsity team took second place with Trevor Guerrera taking 3rd place with a time of 17:02.15, right behind him was Tom Rascona in the 5th place spot 17:14.04, and following in 12th place was Joe Battaglia clocking in at 17:39.10. Eli Muller placed 26th, followed by Rocco Corbisiero (33), Gillan Faulkner and Dan Dobbins.
The boys Freshman B race saw another Guerrera this time Brendan with a fourth place finish time of 7:36.16!
