Well this season has been awfully challenging so far. If you said Sachem North would have two losses and be in the position its in during Week 7 most would have called you a liar. But at 4-2 heading into Week 7, the Flaming Arrows are at an interesting point late in the season.

Sachem is a playoff team, no question. But the offense has been shutdown for two straight weeks, the defense has let up a considerable amount of points and special teams has had its moments as well. Week 7’s game on the road at Lindenhurst is more important than you think. A 6-2 record heading into the playoffs versus a 5-3 mark could mean a world of difference in terms of first round competition.

Every game is a must-win, but Sachem needs a confidence booster and fast. The hits aren’t there. The big plays have been dormant. These have been two of the more difficult weeks of football to watch at Sachem North in more than five years. With Patchogue-Medford on tap for Week 8, the Flaming Arrows need a nice tune up in Week 7 to get ready for a big month of November.

Lindehurst, if you’re wondering, is 1-4, but stuck with Commack – undefeated at 6-0 – all game last week, which means they’re also not a push over like almost every team in the division this year.
