Sachem East girls volleyball opened the post-season with a victory on Thursday afternoon beating Hills East, 3-0, in the first round of the Suffolk County Class AA playoffs.
Casey Gelderman led the Arrows (13-2) with 22 digs, while Amalia Saleh had 18 kills.
No. 5 Sachem East will face No. 4 Lindenhurst Saturday at 4 p.m. on the road in the Suffolk quarterfinals.
