Brentwood ends Sachem East’s season

Sachem East’s season came to an end Saturday afternoon after losing, 49-28, to Brentwood on the road.

Brentwood clinched the final spot in the Suffolk County Division I playoffs with the victory.

The Indians were led by Jude Innocent, who had 117 yards of total offense and three touchdowns. His 20-yard touchdown run in the second quarter put Brentwood ahead, 28-7.

Sachem East ends its season with a 2-6 mark and misses the post-season for the first time in two years.

Senior quarterback Danny Wolff was 11-for-22 and threw for 160 yards, 2 touchdowns and 1 interception. He also rushed for one 15 yard touchdown.  His final career touchdown throw was a 24-yard pass to Cody Solmosy in the fourth quarter.

The Indians will face top-seeded Commack in the first round of the playoffs next weekend.
