Four more student-athletes at Sachem High School East signed their National Letters of Intent to play college sports during an event at the high school on Monday afternoon.

Kyle Larkin (Quinnipiac) and Nicole Lunger (Molloy), both members of the girl’s lacrosse program, were praised by head coach Ali Bourgal-Macchio for their outstanding character and abilities on and off the field.

Jason Debenedictis signed to play lacrosse at St. John’s and will be one of the key senior leaders on this year’s club.

“He makes it easy,” said Sachem East boy’s lacrosse coach Rob Murphy. “The grades, the family, and Jason, they’re all great. He’s just a great student and athlete.”

Sachem East softball’s Samantha Marrone signed to plat at LIU Post. A five-year member of the varsity, Marrone is the team’s leadoff hitter and center fielder.

“I’m really happy we still have her for this year,” said Sachem East softball coach Ralph Forman. “Post is getting an outstanding individual as a player and a person.”
