Just a few months removed from his high school days, Conor O’Hara has continued his winning ways on the mat, earning his first victory for Air Force in his debut collegiate match during the Cowboy Open at the University of Wyoming earlier this month.
Wrestling at 141 pounds, O’Hara beat Jesse Bassett of Western Wyoming, 8-2, and later beat Tyler Thalhammer of Northwest Wyoming Community College, 11-4.
O’Hara, Sachem East’s all-time wins leader in wrestling, would later lose in the quarterfinals of the meet, and is now 4-4 this season overall through the weekend.
