Sachem East varsity cheer won its first competition of the season Sunday in an event at Samoset Middle School.
Sachem North also competed in this competition. This is the first time in two years East finished ahead of North at a varsity cheer event.
Next weekend is the regional at Sachem North for 18 teams. This is where Sachem East and Sachem North will compete for a bid to nationals
