To think, Brittany Christiansen hasn’t nearly reached her potential yet.
It’s been one thrilling two-week span for the Slippery Rock University junior and Sachem East alum. She picked up her second straight Slippery Rock Female Athlete of the Week honor, while breaking her own SRU record in the weight throw for the second straight week. She was also PSAC Athlete of the Week last week.
Christiansen set the record of 15.79 meters last weekend and shattered her own mark with a throw of 16.56 meters Friday night to place eighth in a loaded field, according to a release from her school.
Her mark is also an NCAA provisional qualifying standard, SRU said.
