The varsity cheer teams at Sachem East and Sachem North will head to Florida Thursday to compete in the UCA Nationals.
The 2014 Championships will be held February 8-9 at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando.
Sachem East and Sachem North both compete in the Medium Varsity Division I group of the National High School Cheerleading Competition.
Sachem East is aiming for the program’s first national title. Sachem North won a championship in 2012.
Both groups of cheerleaders and coaches have been working extremely hard in anticipation of a big weekend down south.
