The Suffolk County Century Club has been the mark of success and consistency of a Wrestler’s career.  Started by Connetquot Coach Bill Santoro, the Club welcomed its first member in 1972 when Hauppauge’s Chris Messina garnered 108 wins in his four-year High School career.  Since then thousands of varsity wrestlers have strived to hit that magic number.  This year Sachem North is proud to add three members to that illustrious club.

Senior Captain Sean O’Hagan (132 pounds) joined the Century Club on Dec. 27 with a 14-8 decision over William Floyd’s Antonio LaRocca at the Joe Davidson Duals. O’Hagan is a four-year varsity starter and a two-time League II Champion and a two-time All-County Wrestler. He is currently 36-2 on the year and ranks third in Suffolk County.

Senior Captain Matt Marino (138 pounds) joined the Century Club on Jan. 4 with a 41 second pin over Xavier High School’s Andrew Saldiver at the Dave Ironman Tournament. He is a five-year varsity starter and a two-time All-League wrestler and the defending League II Champion. Marino is currently 35-1 on the year and ranks sixth in Suffolk County.

Senior Captain Matt Stallone (106 pounds) became a member of the Century Club on Jan. 23 with a 4-2 victory over Lindenhurst’s Marc Traficante on Senior Night. He is a four-year varsity starter and is looking to be just the fourth Sachem North wrestler to place in the League Tournament four times. Marino is a two-time League finalist and the Defending League II Champion. He is currently 33-3 and ranks third in Suffolk County.
