It’s that time of year, when Sachem East brings its A game and runs the table. Make that its AA game to match the bracket the Arrows compete in.
Sachem East grabbed the third seed in this year’s Suffolk County girls basketball playoffs and will open up post-season play on Thursday at home against the winner of the No. 19 Comsewogue/N0. 14 Bay Shore out-bracket game, which will be played on Tuesday afternoon. East’s game will tip off at 5:45 p.m.
The Arrows were 10-2 in League I and 12-5 overall during the regular season.
Sachem East is 3-3 in its last six games of the season with loses against Commack, North Shore and Ward Melville. A 52-39 victory over first-place Brentwood during the final part of the schedule, however, was a big win when it counted most.
