Sachem North boys swimming competed in the Section XI swimming championships this past weekend.
The 200-yard medley relay, consisting of John Salica, Tim Cheng, Derek Avila and Joe Pedisich took fourth in the first heat, and 10th overall.
The 200-yard freestyle relay consisting of Dan Cheng, Travis Portefield, Tim Cheng, and Salica took second in their heat, and eighth overall in the county.
Pedisich, a freshman took 15th in the 500-yard freestyle, as well as 17th in the 100-yard backstroke.
Junior Dan Cheng took ninth in the 100-yard freestyle, and 11th in the 200-yard freestyle.
Sachem North finished the season 5-5 overall and 4-4 in League I.
No swimmers from Sachem North will advance to the New York State championships.
