Mrs. Allocca, a fifth grade teacher at Tamarac Elementary School, has taught her students how to knit.
Students were given the opportunity to learn how to knit during their recess time, which they willingly accepted.
Each student made individual squares to put together in a final blanket. The blanket was given to a family in need.
They picked it up very quickly and had fun learning a new technique.
It was a wonderful experience that not only taught them a skill, but allowed them to help someone in need.
The children gave up their free time in order to do this.
