The Sachem East boys track and field team was named a New York State Scholar Athlete team award winner with an unweighted average of 98.21, according to Sachem Athletic Director Pete Blieberg.
The New York State Public High School Athletic Association will be sending a certificate and banner to head coach John Horst to commemorate the team honor.
