Sachem East’s Trevor Guerrera is going upstate as the Section XI County Champion in the 400 Intermediate Hurdles.
His time of 53.20 is the second fastest time in the state. He is only behind the No. 1 kid in the U.S.
Also, Sachem East’s 4×400 Meter Relay team qualified with a time of 3:21.20.
This time currently ranks them N0. 10 in New York.
Junior Drew Alfano jumped 23′ 4.75″ in the Long Jump. This is the fifth best distance in New York.
Unfortunately the two top jumps in New York were done in this meet, so Alfano cannot go to states do to the stipulation that each section can only send two athletes/relays per event, according to Sachem East coach John Horst.
