Tuesday marked the last home meet for the Sachem North boys cross country senior class.
In their last race on the Sachem North 5k course the boys went out in style defeating Connetquot, 20-43.
The Flaming Arrows were led by sophomore Chris Tibbetts who placed second overall. Sealing the victory for Sachem and finishing in a big pack in places 3-10 were seniors Dan Stretz, John Onken, Patrick Lavan, Dan Block, Mike Cavanaugh, Mark Difulvio, Vincent Inzone and Tyler McNamara.
The win helped the Arrows get to 4-0 on the season. Currently ranked No. 2 on Long Island behind St. Anthony’s, the team will make the short trip to Sachem East on Tuesday Oct. 14 to square off against the 4-0 Sachem East Boys Cross Country team for the League 2 Championship.
