The Sachem East boys cross country team traveled to Saratoga Springs State Park where we finished second in the meet to No. 10 ranked (NY State) Fairport.
Nick Pandolfo, Brandon Guerrera, Matt Patsy Edmund Carroll and Vincent Cavallino all placed well in the race. With this performance Sachem East defeated two other state powerhouse teams to move up in the rankings to No. 11.
This past Tuesday the team clinched the League I Championship and remained undefeated in league competition with a 16 to 47 victory over William Floyd.
This captured the schools first League I title since moving up from League II.
This Tuesday, Oct. 27 Sachem East will be competing in the Section XI Divisional Championships at Sunken Meadow State Park. That will be followed on Friday by the Frosh/Soph Championships and the State Qualifying Meet on Nov. 6, all at Sunken Meadow.
