Fundraiser brings lacrosse and autism together
Sachem North hosted its annual Laxin’ for Autism fundraiser on April 13-14. Multiple teams from around Suffolk County came to Lake Ronkonkoma and played in honor of autism awareness.
All proceeds generated at the event, specifically on tee-shirt sales, benefits the Spectrum of Dreams Foundation and Sachem students with special needs.
The varsity game scores from the contests were as follows:
- Girls lacrosse: Sachem North 11, Commack 7
- Girls lacrosse: Ward Melville 14, Smithtown West 7
- Boys lacrosse: Hills East 12, Lindenhurst 10
- Boys lacrosse: Smithtown West 5, Sachem East 4
- Boys lacrosse: Commack 10, Sachem North 5
