Sachem North senior ball player honored for being leader, strong player
Sachem North senior baseball player Ryan Sullivan was named the recipient of this year’s Justin Carlo Memorial Scholarship.
The scholarship is given to a senior in good academic standing, who works hard and plays hard.
“Ryan has been a big part of our success as a team both behind the plate as well as a hitter for the past two seasons,” said Sachem North coach Tom Gambino. “He represents the Justin Carlo Memorial Scholarship very well.”
Sullivan is committed to play at SUNY Maritime.
Carlo is a Sachem alum and former baseball player who died in recent years. He was a member of Sachem’s 2011 Suffolk County championship team.
