District’s most famous athlete comes back to talk to next generation
John “Jumbo” Elliott was back in his old stomping grounds on Wednesday night as a guest for the Sachem Football Youth Experience at Sachem High School North.
Accompanied by his former coach and Sachem legend, Fred Fusaro, Elliott spoke to groups of student-athletes as little as elementary school up through the varsity team.
He is the district’s only alumnus to play in the NFL and won Super Bowl XXV with the Giants in 1991.
