Coach and student-athlete reach pinnacle with Pride
This year marked Hofstra’s first time competing in the Open All Girl competition at the 2019 Game Day UCA College National Championships and the Pride beat out 15 schools to capture the hardware. Two Sachem alums helped make it happen.
Danielle Gresalfi is a coach on the team and Barbara Leigh Petillo is a freshman on the squad.
Gresalfi, the varsity cheer coach at Sachem North, also won a national title with Hofstra when she was competing as an undergraduate.
