Former Sachem pitcher puts exclamation point on college career
Queens College pitcher and Sachem alum Dennis Buckstein lasted just three innings but struck out seven batters on the day; in doing so, Buckstein ran his season total on the strikeout meter to 89 and broke the single-season record for most strikeouts in a year that was set by QC Hall of Famer Louis DeBole in 1958 and Rod Stephan back in 1981.
