Flaming Arrows turn attention to playoff run
Sachem North boy’s varsity lacrosse beat, South Fortk, 14-7, and clinched a spot in the Section XI playoffs.
Cole Stassi led the Flaming Arrows with four goals in the win.
“We were able to create the looks we wanted, so we just took advantage of them and kept it going through all four quarters,” said Stassi.
The defense also stepped up with sophomore, Cameron Lee, recording seven ground balls. He also had six faceoff wins.
No. Sachem will play No. 12 Bay Shore in the first round of the playoffs on Tuesday, May 14.
“We have a positive mindset going into this tough matchup against Bay Shore,” Stassi added. “It’s the playoffs, and we know that we need to win to advance.”
