Sachem Alum, Singer Christopher Macchio Impressing Stars with Talent

Top Italian-American tenor is a Sachem graduate

David Foster is the man who wrote Andrea Bocelli and Celine Dion’s hit songs. He was hosting a benefit for the Muhammed Ali Foundation recently when some Sachem stars collided.

Christopher Macchio, a Sachem alum, was at the star-studded event and somebody asked him to sing. At first Foster was hesitant because they had a long list of A-List talent on deck but when he asked Macchio to sing one note he listened and then handed him the microphone. The rest is history, as they say.

Macchio blew Foster’s mind that night and all the celebs in attendance including Rod Stewart, who immediately booked him for his 70th birthday, were in awe.

It gets better. He is working with fellow Sachem alum and talent manager Louis “Uncle Louie” Gregory. They have known each other since age 6 at Tamarac Elementary.

“I’ve worked with some of the best athletes in the world. I’ve worked with some of the best recording artists in the world. Now, I am working with the best Italian-American tenor on the planet,” said Gregory. “The fact we grew up together makes this project very special. I will bring Mr. Macchio to the world and soon everybody will known his name and love his voice.”
