Sachem North’s Analiese Fabrizi Named All-American

Junior continues surge to top of American racewalking

Sachem North junior Analiese Fabrizi was named NSAF (National Scholastic Athletic Federation)-New Balance Nationals Indoor All-American.

Fabrizi was one of six racewalkers in the United States to receive the honor. This is her first winter season All-American honor. She was also named All-American in her sophomore year spring season.

All-American honors are typically given out following New Balance National Championship Meets. The March 13-15 NBNI (New Balance Nationals Indoor) scheduled to take place at the Armory New Balance Track & Field Center in Manhattan was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. All-American honors were awarded based on national rankings prior to the cancelled meet.

She finished her winter track and field season ranked No. 4 in the United States. Most recently, she placed third in the 1,500-meter racewalk at the NYS Championship on March 7 earning All-State and All-Federation honors. Her time of 6:54.90 was a personal-best.
