SSC Cheerleaders Raising Money to Feed Medical Workers on Frontline Battling Coronavirus

Youth group raising money during difficult time to help provide meals

The Sachem 11-year-old cheer team has raised $3,200 – as of April 4 – to feed nearly 19 units of 400 frontline medical workers battling the coronavirus across Long Island.

These young community servants and their families have fed workers at Mather, Stony Brook, Southampton, Good Samaritan, St. Catherine’s, Winthrop, Long Island Jewish, Peconic Bay, Huntington, PM Pediatrics and St. Charles.

They are hoping to continue with these donations and are aiming to make sure meals go to Sachem Sports Club family members.

If you have a close family member or friend who is on the frontlines please let them know. Their thoughts and prayers are with everyone, especially Sachem community members, during this difficult time. You can Venmo all donations to @SACHEMCHEERTEAM.
