Farmingville’s own Keith Kinkaid is coming home. After a one-year deal in Montreal, the NHL goalie signed as a free agent with his hometown New York Rangers this week.
Kinkaid, who graduated from Sachem East, has played in 157 NHL games mostly with the New Jersey Devils from 2013-2019.
During the 2017-2018 season, Kinkaid compiled a career high in wins (26) as the Devils made the Stanley Cup playoffs.
He is the only Sachem alum to play in the NHL.
