Sachem alum and Louisville women’s soccer coach Karen Ferguson-Dayes will be inducted to the Suffolk Sports Hall of Fame in the Class of 2021.
Ferguson-Dayes, who graduated from Sachem in 1990, was an inaugural inductee of the Sachem Athletic Hall of Fame in 2003.
After her time at Sachem, she was a three-time All-American at UConn and played for the U.S. Women’s National Team.
She was an assistant at Boston University and UConn prior to taking over as the head coach at Louisville in 2000. In 2011 she was named Big East Coach of the Year and she has won more than 180 games in her career.
The Suffolk Sports Hall of Fame will likely have a virtual induction on May 12.
