Make that 1,000 points for Kennadie Hallum.
The Sachem North star scored 23 points in a 57-31 win over Lindenhurst to reach the career milestone. She hit 1,000 on a jump shot in the first quarter.
“Kennadie is truly deserving of this milestone,” said Sachem North coach Jimmy Mellor. “She has grown as a player and leader each season she has been with us. Her ability to finish around the rim, in traffic, has been tremendous this year.”
Mellor said the team has done a wonderful job, in this shortened season, working together and building off of each other.
“Kennadie has played unselfishly in her quest to achieve this milestone, and the team has worked as a unit together to get her to this point,” he said. “To reach 1,000 points, is a true depiction of how hard someone has worked over the duration of their career, and again, something that Kennadie truly deserves.”
Sachem North is 4-1 this season.
