Keith Kinkaid Makes First Start with New York Rangers

After coming off the bench for his debut appearance with the New York Rangers on Sunday, Sachem alum Keith Kinkaid made his first start with the blue shirts on Tuesday. He made 23 saves in a 4-2 loss to the Penguins.

“It’s an incredible opportunity,” he said before the game. “I’ve been waiting for this opportunity. I feel ready. I’m ready to play for a hometown team, which is kind of surreal. I’m ready for this opportunity.”

Kinkaid signed as a free agent with the Rangers after spending last season with Montreal. He had been with the Devils organization from 2011-2019.
