Sachem alum Jerry Figgiani is profiled in the latest issue of Warriors Magazine, the world’s first interactive martial arts magazine.
Figgiani, who graduated from Sachem in 1978, has been practicing martial arts for over 50 years. He is the owner of East Coast Black Belt Academy in Middle Island.
The magazine feature talks about his life’s journey, tactical abilities and training methods.
His work with children, anti-bullying and mental martial arts has been praised by local schools, the PAL and many organizations looking to steer kids in the right direction.
He was an inaugural inductee of the Sachem Hall of Honor in 2017 and was inducted to the Suffolk Sports Hall of Fame in 2019.
