Joe Scally is a star on the rise. The Lake Grove native and Sachem alum made his Bundesliga debut in August. By month’s end he was voted Player of the Month for his club Borussia Mönchengladbach.
Team supporters voted for Scally in an online poll.
He made his debut against Kaiserslautern in a German Cup match and played a full 90 minutes in all regular season matches, including a tough one against top power Bayern Munich.
On a release from the team’s website, the club said Scally, “impressed on each of his appearances, proving his versatility as he featured at both left and right back.”
