Legendary volleyball coach and Sachem alum Bill Kropp has earned career win No. 400.
Kropp, an inductee of the Suffolk Sports Hall of Fame and Sachem Athletic Hall of Fame, is currently coaching the boys varsity team at Eastport-South Manor High School.
Fittingly, the win came on Tuesday against Sachem East, where Kropp coached for many years. The Sharks won, 25-11, 25-16, 25-14.
He founded the boys volleyball team at Sachem, the girls team at Sachem and the boys team at Sachem East. He is also the men’s coach at St. Joseph’s College.
Kropp is one of the winningest high school volleyball coaches in the United States.
