The latest “Sachem Conversation” is with Sachem alum and Navy lacrosse coach Joe Amplo.
Amplo helped Sachem lacrosse win a Suffolk County lacrosse championship in 1995 and played at Hofstra University before embarking on a coaching career at Hofstra, starting the men’s lacrosse team at Marquette and landing the head job at the United States Naval Academy. He’s also an assistant coach with Team USA.
Sachem Conversations is an oral history project produced by the Sachem Alumni Association to digitally record and archive Sachem history from the people who made it and lived it. The series is hosted by Sachem Alumni Association President/Founder and Sachem Report Publisher Chris R. Vaccaro.
