The Sachem North boys lacrosse season received one final honor with the announcement that the Arrows have been named the 2026 Founders Cup champions, an award presented annually to the top team in Suffolk County.
Fresh off capturing their first Suffolk County championship since 1995, Sachem North earned the distinction after defeating top-seeded Northport and cementing its place as the county’s highest-ranked team.
“To be recognized as the best team in Suffolk County, which is widely regarded as the premier public school lacrosse region in the country, is a tremendous accomplishment,” said Sachem North head coach Anthony Muratore. “It is a reflection of all the hard work our players, coaches and parents have put in throughout the season.”
The Arrows finished the year with a 16-4 record and added the prestigious Founders Cup to a season that will be remembered as one of the most successful in program history.
